November Report

11/16/2011

Picture
The Handicap Trophy this year is going to the final furlong. The two stallions looked like a couple of old nags as the galloping filly stormed to the line to record her 6th PB this year! Graham also put in a very strong challenge and continues to gain ground. He was only a few seconds behind Ian who was making a welcome return to the race and he also notched up a PB. Not to be outdone was Mark who is getting quicker as the weeks go by. To think I managed to out-pace him a month ago. Steve sprinted round like a young colt but Brent’s jockey could do to lose a few pounds. There’s no time to extol the racing qualities of the rest of the runners but suffice to say they all galloped and snorted their way round the 3 laps, and any of them  could get a run out at Ascott next year – if they eat their  oats! Welcome to new runner Sam who ran with Roger  to start with and recorded a time of 22:34, and thanks to Greg and Fiona for acting as baggage handlers, cheer-leaders and recorders.
