Honiton Running Club Events

The Blackdown Beast

The winter companion to The Blackdown Beauty. Both events are self-navigating social runs and were devised by Alan Nicholls. They take their inspiration from AVR's Midsummer Dream

The Honiton Hippo

A suitably wet and muddy romp up and over and round about St Cyres Hill north of Honiton. Involves at least 4 opportunities for getting yourself wet

The Blackdown Beauty

Another exploration of the glories of the Blackdown Hills while taking opportunity to sample the beer at 4 pubs and a wonderful cream tea in the village of Stapley

The Cotleigh Canters

Something for everyone. A 10K for those who want the distance and a 5K for beginners and good juniors to get their teeth into. Plus a 3K for the youngsters. All in the quiet village of Cotleigh.

Sport Relief Mile

Every two years we stage the Honiton Sport Relief mile. As well as raising a good amount for a worthy cause (over £7500 in 2010) it brings the community together as all manner of runners, joggers and walkers in all manner of costumes and of all ages take to the High St.

Duathlon for Children in Need

In 2011 we staged a Duathlon to raise money for Children in Need. It was held in the village of Payhembury and was a very low-key affair with very little advertising We shall definitely repeat it in 2012
