Have been
meaning to contact you all week to say thank you for such a great event.
Fantastic weather, course, atmosphere, organisation, marshalls -
everything. It was an honour to come last! Absolutely loved it and have
already got some of my friends from the Women's Running Network who
wimped out this year to give it a go next time. After all, it's only
mud! Pat the Sweeper was great. |

Would
just like to say thank you for yesterdays race, it was a really nice
bit of countryside to run in and very well marked out. Please could you
thank all the marshals for their time and enthusiastic support. I will
definitely put it in the diary for next year. P.S Nice chocolate cake! |

Just
to say a big thank you, 24 hrs on and I'm still laughing and smiling
about the whole event, it was absolutely brilliant.
The
marshals were superb but a special thank you must go to Pat who had to
endure our antics all the way. Being the rear of the hippo was an
honour and I'm so pleased we all made the farmers day with our lovely
behinds (I'll let Pat enlighten you on that one). Pat herself was
considering removing some layers when we turned the corner to be
confronted with the church congregation, fortunately Pat had delayed her
de-robing but the thought of this near miss was quite amusing. Then
there was the marshall that had been stood for so long he had named his
plot and welcomed us to Primrose Corner, we thought it was more aptly
named Gods Garden because we'd climbed so high. All of this without any
mention of the water obstacles.
This
was by far the best event I have ever taken part in. Varied, interesting
and challenging. I hope you enjoyed it as much as us.
See
you again next year and already promoting this one for you.(No 4)
P.S.
If I ever move back to Honiton I would love to join your club everyone
was so friendly. |

I would just like to
say a huge thank you for organising a great race - hopefully the first
Hippo of many...
An ideal time of year for the event - seeing all the bluebells and
primroses helped take my mind off the running and the water features
were a welcome extra when it was getting a little warm! A really good
mixture of on/off road. I can't think of anything which would make it
better - a first class race.
I look forward to coming back again....
Many thanks to everyone who made it great day. |

Just to say thank you for a brilliant run yesterday. It was well
organised and marshalled. Shame not much mud but enjoyed all the water.
We shall look forward to next year’s run. |

Just wanted to say
what a fabulous event. I know the weather certainly helped but the whole
event was great, very friendly marshalls and although we came in last we
thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Pat the sweeper was excellent
company and I for one am glad she didn't share the route too much with
us until we reached those uphill stretches. I have to say a special
thanks to the guy at the last water crossing who helped me up onto the
bank, I do not have the normal runner's physique and he didn't bat an
eyelid, he's stronger than he looks! Whoever was responsible for the
organisation of the day well done!
We will certainly be back next year and will be spreading the word
around the network to ensure more pale blue tops next year as I know it
is an event they would all love. |

Stunningly beautiful at this time of year. Free coffee and cakes were
fantastic. Thank you. |

Super event.
Really well marshalled and a lovely course through the bluebell woods.
My dog Spice ran with me and we enjoyed the scenery and large puddles.
Its the first time Spice has had to swim on an event! She is sorry she
shook herself dry over the marshals at the last river crossing. |

Just a quick message to say
a massive thanks to all involved in putting on one of my now 'fav'
runs. It was well organised and a fun and varied course. Lucky you with
the weather too. It is a run I will definitely be giving a big push in
the club to get more AVR there next year. I t was their loss not to
enjoy your superb race. Well done and thanks. .xx |

Congratulations on creating this
excellent new race. It was a tough but enjoyable course, and when I did
manage to get my head up the scenery was marvellous. Lots of friendly
marshals giving plenty of support and a well marked route.
Wading through the river brought back
memories of the much lamented “Where’s Tarka?”
See you next year. |
