JOB DESCRIPTION - CLUB SECRETARY
Objectives
To ensure that appropriate administrative support is provided to the President, Chairman and Committee of Honiton Running Club. The Secretary is the primary administration officer of the Committee and provides the link between the Committee, members and outside agencies.
Responsibilities

 
• Attend all meetings where issues relevant to H.R.C. are discussed.

• Establish a meeting schedule for Committee Meetings.

• Maintain an accurate copy of the Rules and By-Laws of H.R.C.

• Provide administrative support to the President, Chairman and Committee in ensuring all   responsibilities are dealt with appropriately.

• Be familiar with the rules of the Club, County and any other body that has governance to give advice to the President, Chairman and Committee as required.

• Prepare agenda for Committee meetings.

• Prepare minutes of all Committee meetings of H.R.C. and distribute in accordance with the Rules of H.R.C.

• Receive all correspondence directed to the Club.

• Take responsibility for seeing that letters are written and replied to.

• Ensure all licences and affiliations required by the H.R.C. are current.

• Note: Responsibilities for Committee Meetings are at present dealt with by the Minutes Secretary.
